Kinstrument is an interactive installation that brings together movement, sound and colour. It is planned as a visual and sound experience in which the body becomes a creative instrument. Movement is the key element of the project, allowing the union between the other two parameters: image and sound.
When placed in front of a sensor, every gesture by the user sets off a sound and simultaneously generates a real-time projection. The simultaneity and synchronisation in which the different elements are presented make each work a unique and ephemeral piece. This way, improvisation is the basis of the experience and the performance is the work in itself. The body as creative tool, doing away with intermediary devices, provides a more direct man-machine interaction and is what sets off all the elements that comprise the final work.
The project is planned as an experimental process with the intention of coming out of the comfort zone as a graphic designer and exploring new tools of expression.
