Invocació de Maians Maians (Invoking Maians Maians)

Using a fictional character, Invocació de Maians Maians explores the relationship between design (especially graphic design) and esoteric magic. Both disciplines share points in common; magic requires simple, functional symbols and applies techniques of layout and synthesis well known in the world of graphic design, while design, consciously or otherwise, recurs to images with occult connotations that have traditionally had magical properties attributed to them.

The project takes the form of a book, a work which hovers between fiction, theory and graphic design.
