Video games have been used as an educational tool for many years.
In this work, I investigated the impact on education, focusing on the study of serious games (educational video games) and non-educational but pedagogical video games. This research aims to find a methodology to develop the design of a video game that can communicate a topic in the field of entertainment.
Finally, using the previous study, design a game for mobile devices that show the environmental problem in the oceans from a more personal, metaphorical, and poetic point of view. In this game called Abyss the player will have to discover pollutants at all levels of depth in a game world designed with cyanotype, watercolour, and Indian ink techniques.
