Drops, Restaurant at Paseo de Gracia 16

The project consists of restoring floors 11, 12 and 13 of the iconic building at Paseo de Gracia 16.

The aim is to design the space resulting from the entry of a new programme that includes a restaurant, a lounge terrace and a private area, with this questioning aspects related to gastronomy and tradition, and the relationship of the space with the exterior.

Formal strategies such as the use of hanging elements and structures that tend towards verticality allow the space to be adapted in its relationship with the city, not from belonging, but from observation. Light is also used in this direction, reinforcing the connection of the space with nature, with the sky blue spectrum, and not so much with the artificial and constructed condition of the city. The application of light from outside into the space enables the project to be articulated.
