Algar is a gastronomic branding project that seeks to revitalise the culinary identity of the Basque Country through the innovative use of seaweed, an underrated resource from the Gipuzkoa coast. Inspired by the deep personal and cultural connection with the region, this project aims to reintroduce seaweed into contemporary Basque gastronomy. Through the Algar brand, values of sustainability, proximity and local roots are promoted, highlighting the importance of preserving the Basque culinary identity. Through marketing and promotion strategies, the aim is to integrate seaweed into everyday culinary practices, generating a renewed appreciation for these natural resources and their role in regional gastronomic culture.
