Metro Mudra - Sonar+D CCCB

Metro Mudra

In collaboration with Sónar+D CCCB, eina idea presents a system of gestures, pictograms and audiovisual elements that will be displayed in specific points of the TMB network under the title: EINA IDEA METRO MUDRA. Inspired by Buddhist and Hindu traditional gesture and ritual poses, METRO MUDRA proposes a reenchantment of the body’s journey through the public space and a poetic reflection on social distance, perception and motivation.

The materials for METRO MUDRA were generated through a series of workshops that took place in June and July 2020 with EINA students and professors in face-to-face and online format. Every session was focused on the development of the conceptual, graphic and video aspects, on the axis that goes from gesture to pictogram, from typography to video and dance (vogue, but also kata) to the written sign.

These co-creative processes ended up intersecting in the ecosystem of the TMB network, where they were presented between the 4th and 19th of September, as well as in the CCCB Hall during the Sónar +D dates. This projects takes the final form of videos, graphics animations, posters and printed textiles.
