Jorge Rodríguez Nieto

Jorge Rodríguez Nieto is a renowned consultant, academic, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience at the intersection of innovation, organizational culture, education, and service design. He is a founding partner of Los Rethinkers (formerly DesignThinkers Group Spain), and has led transformative projects for government institutions, multinational corporations, and educational organizations around the world.

His expertise lies in the design and implementation of strategies for change management, learning and development (L&D), and cultural innovation. 

Teaching / Research 

His academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Universidad de Los Andes, a Master's in Cultural Management from the University of Barcelona, and ongoing doctoral research at the University of Lisbon focused on the design and management of organizational culture.

His academic contributions include directing the MIDI and MaDE master's programs at Elisava – Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as well as teaching collaborations with institutions such as IE University, Rotterdam Business School, and the University of Maryland. He currently teaches at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation and the Swiss Business School of Barcelona. 

Professional activity 

As a consultant, Jorge has worked with prestigious clients such as Deloitte, PWC, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia. Notable projects include co-creating strategies to combat social isolation among the elderly for the Barcelona City Council, advising Colombia’s Presidential Human Rights Program on social innovation, and conducting trend research on the future of street food. He is currently writing a book on innovation methodologies based on more than 65 projects carried out globally. 

As an entrepreneur, Jorge founded La Innovation Kitchen, a training and development platform, and has led initiatives such as the Barcelona Design Thinking Week. 

He speaks Spanish, English, and French fluently, and is deeply passionate about driving impactful change through education, cultural innovation, and human-centered design. 

Awards 

His recognitions include the Prometheus Award (2002) and several nominations for excellence in entrepreneurship.
