Professional experience / Research

Present - 2015. Founder of MH.AP Architecture Studio in Barcelona.
2012-2015. Collaborator in different architecture offices between Malaysia and Indonesia. Port 25 Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And with architect Yew Kuan Cheong, in Bali, Indonesia.
2010. Architect at Tham & Videgard Arkitekter in Stockholm.
2009. Internship at Dominique Perrault Architectes (AP) in Paris.

  • 2020. Barcelona - Jakarta. Anabata Series. Open Talk 5.1. Presentation of the work of MH.AP together with Rafael Miranti Architects.
  • 2017. Barcelona. AJAC Inexperiències. The association of Young Architects of Catalonia invites us to talk about the recently awarded research project Points Project.
  • 2015. Jakarta. Netvvork Young Architects in South East Asia. Conference at Glitch Imaginarium in Jakarta. Presentation of the work of MH.AP in the group of young architects in South East Asia.
  • 2015. Yogyakarta. Workshop on social architecture in South East Asia "Temu Nasional Arsitek Komunitas Indonesia" and Workshop on bamboo construction with the Japanese master Takayuki Shimizu at the Centre Bumi Pemuda Rahayu.
  • 2015. Barcelona. RMHÄR International research project & workshop at BAU Summer School. Project coordinator together with Ignacio de Juan Creix. 
  • In the field of research, since 2014 he has been conducting Points Project, a series of interviews that investigates the use of everyday language in the field of architecture and creativity. A semantic investigation of carefully selected words described through the vision of a selection of contemporary architects and designers.

Awards

  • 2017. First Prize for Architectural Rehabilitation at the Alejandro de la Sota Biennial, Catalan Architecture Exhibition, for the work Jewellery J. Prats in Reus, Tarragona.
  • 2016. First Prize in the AJAC Architecture Dissemination category for POINTS Project, A Semantic Research in Architecture, Barcelona.
  • 2012. Isarch, Final Degree Project Competition. Finalist.
