Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026

Two Creative Illustration alumni at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026

Illustrators Anna Cunha and Paloma Valdivia, alumni of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques, will take part in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026, the leading international event in the field of children’s and young adult publishing.

The fair, to be held from April 13 to 16 in Bologna (Italy), brings together publishers, agents, authors, and illustrators from around the world to present projects, build professional connections, and identify new trends in visual storytelling and children’s publishing.

The presence of Cunha and Valdivia reinforces the international reach of the talent trained in the program, with two creative careers already recognized in editorial and cultural illustration.

Anna Cunha develops a visual body of work with a strong narrative and poetic component, with projects linked to illustrated books and contemporary graphic communication. Paloma Valdivia, for her part, stands out for her sensitive and conceptual visual language, with extensive experience in children's publishing as an author, writer, and editor (Ediciones Liebre) of children's books. Furthermore, this year she is nominated for the ALMA Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in Sweden.

Their participation in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026 represents a new platform for international visibility and professional exchange within the world’s leading market in the sector.
