Tentativas de (des)aparición, thesis by Laura Vilar Dolç

Laura Vilar Dolç, graduate of the University Master’s Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD) and doctoral student of the itinerary of Research in Design and Art of EINA, attached to the Doctoral Programme of Philosophy of the UAB, publicly presents her thesis "Tentativas de (des)aparición" (Tentatives of (dis)appearance), on December 21st at 4pm at the dance space NunArt (C/ del Telègraf, 67).

"Tentativas de (des)aparición", directed by Dr. Jéssica Jaques Pi, is the performative research that together with the textual corpus Tentativas de (des)aparición. Ensayos propioceptivos y (entre)ceptivos bailando, make up the set of doctoral research that Laura presents.

The researcher and performer proposes a performative reading in which the experience of movement, the attention of long exposure and the displaced listening of the centres can make possible relational, perceptive and imaginary drifts emerge that allow us to look at the same thing but in a different way. Insisting, multiplying and generating loops without losing proprioceptive attention facilitate the emergence of a shared space that I have called (inter)ceptive. The performance is an attempt to show this space as sensitive, creative and knowledge-generating material.
