On Tuesday 9th June, the presentation of the prototypes made in the second edition of the ATOPIC fiction design workshops of the EINA University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD) will take place.
In this edition, we have developed the imagery for the use of the Prototype for the Diagnosis of the Apparent Personality (DPA) provided by the Computer Vision Centre of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). The aim of the collaboration is to materialize the transfer of knowledge between the university and society, for informative purposes.
During the pandemic, students from the Design Research II module, together with researchers Elena Bartomeu and Dolors Soriano, and the director of the Computer Vision Centre Fernando Vilariño, have developed their projects using fiction as a design technique: a very useful technique when reality becomes more dystopian than fiction itself.
