Under the slogan 'Spilling Creativity', Spain has participated as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the largest book trade event in the world, held from 19 to 23 October, and EINA has been present at various events.
Eina Idea has co-curated, together with Portikus, HOW(EVER) RADICAL OBJECTS, a symposium dedicated to the artistic and editorial practices of artists' books. This event took place within the framework of HOW(EVER), a festival that took place during the Frankfurt Buchmesse week, between 20 and 23 October 2022, and which explores the mutual overflows that the poetic and the plastic carry out through the vehicle of the book, as a visual and textual, literary and performative object, a social, political and cultural instrument and a model of transmission.
In the field of illustration, Aina Bestard, professor and former student of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques, was part of the literary and professional programme presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair. In turn, the work of Sonia Pulido, winner of the National Illustration Award and teacher of the course, and Luciano Lozano, former student of this programme, has been exhibited in the exhibition 'Illustration: A visual literature', curated by the Federation of Professional Illustrators' Associations.
On the other hand, the work Resiliencia, a photobook for the Cervantes Institute with design and typography by Andreu Balius, professor of the Bachelor of Design, has been exhibited at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
