Agenda Kuir

Exhibition Agenda Kuir

Felipe Roman, student of the University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design, is a graphic designer and the creator of Agenda Kuir, a publication that celebrates 10 years with a retrospective exhibition that opens on Friday 13 January at 6.30 pm at Tangent Projects Gallery (C/ Martí Codolar 41) in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Agenda Kuir was born in 2013 and in its ten issues has brought together a selection of authorial documents, including texts and images, that give an account of a period of aesthetic experimentation of movements, communities and activists of sexual, queer/queer/kuir and transfeminist dissidence, both from Latin America and from other situated experiences.

The publication is articulated in the format of an agenda or personal diary, with days and weeks, and between these, contents of literary, academic, graphic and photographic interest related to sexual dissidence, with a critical position on sexual norms and intervening the linearity of heterocentric time.

Throughout this period the project has had hundreds of collaborators, including activists, writers, visual and performance artists, who have contributed their voices to imagine together that year to come, that year that is not yet when it is being made. A practice out of time between past, present and future in a generous network of radical friendship.

Starting with the eighth edition, in 2021, Agenda Kuir will be printed simultaneously in Valparaíso and Barcelona, distributing around five hundred copies between the two cities.

The exhibition, open until 10 February, is complemented by a series of activities:

  • Friday 20 January: Felipe Sepulveda / digital art.
  • Friday 27 January: Felipe Román / writing and music.
  • Friday 3 February: Quimerarosa, laboratory for experimentation and research on identities, body and technology.
  • Friday 10 February: Luna Acosta, creation of insurgent santas.
