Saturday 11 November sees the staging of the Lluèrnia Festival, with the exhibition of a project undertaken as part of the Colour and Volume subject in the 1st year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design.

The project by the EINA students is Fx(a) : Fy(b) :: Fx(b) : Fa^-1(y) and can be seen at Passeig de la Muralla.

Fx(a) : Fy(b) :: Fx(b) : Fa^-1(y) is a light installation based on a reflection on the state of Natural/Artificial worked on within the framework of the concept of ontogenesis, in other words, comparing the matter that escapes any type of approach or reduction and the qualities that are the result of looking after it.

Lluèrnia has felt it to be a relevant idea due to the nature of the city of Olot, since a nature park (the product of artifice) in a volcanic (and unpredictable) area brings together the two extremes. The starting point is the canonical formula developed by anthropologist Lévi-Strauss in Anthropologie structurale (1974), seen as the research of the fundamental principles shared by all cultures: Fx(a) : Fy(b) :: Fx(b) : Fa^-1(y).
