Second-year Bachelor’s Degree in Design students on the courses in Design of Ephemeral Spaces, coordinated by Judit Colomer and Octavi Rofes, and Mock-ups and Prototypes, led by Ariadna Fàbregas and Amadeu Ventayol, have presented their proposals for the design of a horse jump for the Jumping Nations Cup (CSIO) 2018, which will take place from 4 to 7 October at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona (RCPB).
The projects presented are “Metropolis” by Anna Milla, “Tracing the Diagonal” by Clara Font, “The Miró Universe” by Mar Carda, “Irregular Pavement” by Miriam Koraichi and “Caterina Jump” by Lluís Domingo. The project winner will be revealed at the beginning of June. The jump will be made at the RCPB carpentry workshop and will be presented officially in September.
The CSIO, the star event at the sporting heart of the Barcelona Equestrian Challenge (BECH), is committed to an original initiative: designing a jump that represents Barcelona or its culture that will subsequently be incorporated into the routes of this international competition. Its main objective is to reinforce the very close bond between Spain’s oldest sporting competition with Barcelona and the people of Barcelona and collaborate in promoting the city to an international audience.
