EINA strengthens its collaborations with China

EINA, University Centre of Design and Art of Barcelona is promoting a collaboration project with universities and institutions in China, expanding the international network of knowledge and technology transfer, as well as teaching and business exchanges.

Within the framework of the strategic line of internationalisation, Dr. Javier Nieto Cubero, Director of Innovation and Enterprise, has made an institutional trip to China to promote synergies with different social, cultural and business agents that collaborate in this knowledge network.

It is worth mentioning the participation with two of the two most prestigious universities in China, the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beiging and the China Academy of Arts in Hangzhou, as well as the Research Center of Contemporary Art Criticism and Curating of the CAFA Art Museum, an institution with which EINA already has a collaboration agreement within the EINA GLOBAL MAD programme.

As part of this activation, the bases have been established for EINA's participation as an international school invited to the Shenzen Design Week, among other exchanges with the City of Design Shenzen, an organism for the promotion of Design linked to the city council of the city.

LAB projects for the exchange of professional designers, artists and students have also been agreed with the Jupiter Museum of Shenzen.

Dr. Javier Nieto Cubero, together with Dr. Lluís Bravo, professor of the University Master's Degree in Art and Design Research at EINA and UAB (MURAD), participated in the closing ceremony of the exhibition Sonora Gaudi, at the Sky Museum in Beijing. The exhibition, organised by the educational institution Ziyou, has counted with the collaboration of EINA in the organisation and curatorial consultancy of Dr. Tània Costa, Academic Director of the centre.

One of the key collaborators in this project promoted by EINA in China is the educational entity Ziyou, from Singapore, which, in turn, has awarded four scholarships to talent at EINA, promoting the training of our students.
