Presentation of the Design, Social Innovation and Region projects carried out this year by students from the 10 higher education design schools that comprise the EDIVI - Education for Design for Life platform as part of Barcelona Design Week.
In this session, EINA will be presenting the services design project for the Library Living Lab of the Miquel Batllori Library, which aims to generate change in the social fabric of the Volpelleres neighbourhood, in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The set of proposals has been produced by second-year students on the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, in the Design of Identity Elements subject, led by Elena Bartomeu. The project has been undertaken in collaboration with the different players (EINA, Holon, Library Living Lab, Miquel Batllori Library, L'Olivera School) to foster bottom-up dynamics.
The session on 13 June is in a workshop format, with the aim of developing a collective map of social innovation initiatives that relate the work of design schools to the region. The debate created by the pooling seeks to activate a collaborative vision of opportunities for the transition towards sustainable life models and environments.
Taking part are: EDIVI - Education for Design for Life - network of higher education design schools for social innovation and sustainability: EINA, University School of Design and Art of Barcelona (UAB); ELISAVA, University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona; Massana School, Centre of Art and Design of Barcelona; School of Higher Education in Design and Plastic Arts of Catalonia, ESDAP; ESDI, School of Higher Education in Design; IDEP, School of Higher Education in Image and Design; IED Barcelona, School of Higher Education in Design; LCI Barcelona; University of Barcelona, Department of Visual Arts and Design
