Anna Alcubierre designs the exhibition 'BALENCIAGA. The elegance of the hat'

Anna Alcubierre, coordinator of the Postgraduate Diploma EXHIBITIONS. Curatorship, Design and Spaces and professor of the Design Degree, has designed the exhibition 'BALENCIAGA. The elegance of the hat', which can be seen at the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona until 3 October.

The exhibition, which brings together more than eighty pieces and a dozen sets, is the first international exhibition focusing on the hats of the designer Cristóbal Balenciaga and is the result of years of joint research into the hat collections of the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa, which are co-producing it.

The collaboration between the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and the Postgraduate Diploma EXHIBITIONS. Curatorship, Design and Spaces will allow the joint analysis of this exhibition by their teams.

‘BALENCIAGA. The elegance of the hat', designed by Espai e, Anna Alcubierre's studio, delves into the uniqueness of Cristóbal Balenciaga's work, highlighting the innovative forms, the search for materials and techniques, and the artisanal nature of his hat production, and emphasising the feminine world.
