"Hipòtesis per a una institució" is the opening lecture of EINA’s 2021-2022 academic year given by Elvira Dyangani Ose, Director of the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), on 6 October at 12 noon at t EINA's Assembly Hall (Passeig Santa Eulàlia, 25).
Elvira Dyangani Ose is the Director of the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona since September 2021. She previously directed The Showroom, London. She is also a lecturer in the Visual Cultures department at Goldsmiths, sits on the Advisory Board of Tate Modern and is a member of the Thought Council of the Fondazione Prada, where she has curated numerous projects such as Theaster Gates. True Value; Nástio osquito, T.T.T. Template Temples of Tenacity, and Betye Saar: Uneasy Dancer.
Dyangani Ose was curator of the eighth Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (GIBCA 2015) and curator of International Art at Tate Modern (2011-2014), is a specialist in contemporary African art, and holds a PhD from Cornell University, New York, a Master's degree in Theory and History of Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya; and a degree in Art History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
