Unit is a single currency for all countries. Issued by the World Bank, it will be for use by all of the world’s population.
The aim, therefore, it to design a currency that accepts everyone’s form of identification. With this proposal in mind, I have used a clean and neutral graphic image that is not associated specifically with any culture, religion or flag. This is accompanied by the Helvetica font, with a repertoire of pictograms that constitute an international graphic code which can be understood by all.
The same graphic and narrative are adopted for both the coins and notes. Their concept is based on the big bang of the universe, which ranges from the representation of the smallest of objects right up to infinity. The 1 unit coin, represented by the Earth, is the intermediary between the six coins and six notes. The twelve elements are created on the basis of this: even the symbol. The coins are made of copper, silver and Nordic gold and the notes from plastic (polypropylene).
