Relat amagat

Relat Amagat is a project that seeks to preserve the collective memory of small towns and strengthen the connection between visitors and residents through local stories. It was created in response to the loss of identity suffered by many towns due to globalization, mass tourism, depopulation, and urban transformation.

The project gathers oral testimonies from locals, which can be listened to in situ through signage placed around the town. This immersive experience invites visitors to explore the place as if it were an open book, where each space hides a true story, bridging the gap between place and narrative. In this way, tourists engage with the local context while residents reinforce their sense of belonging.

Relat Amagat can be explored through both a web app and a printed publication, two tools that serve as archives and transmitters of local memory.
