This project treats the rehabilitation and interior redesign of a family rural house in Tortellà, Girona, adapted for a three-generations family. The project includes a detailed investigation of the house and the needs of three-generations family.
The project includes a detailed investigation of the house and the needs of the three generations, with a focus on accessibility, safety, comfort, and quality of life, always considering ergonomics, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
An interior layout has been designed based on functional modules adapted to the needs of each generation, combining common areas for family interaction with private spaces. A significant portion of the existing interior and exterior spaces have been preserved to maintain the cultural heritage.
Throughout the development process of the project, a working model has been used for better visualization and understanding.
