This work reflects the desire to renovate the Tres Torres market and extend the 3 Torres restaurant. Standing at the crossing of Carrer Vergós and Carrer Les Escoles Pies, the market's appearance is rather deplorable as it displays poor use of the spaces and is closed towards the interior. The aim of this Final Degree Project is to open up the market from the inside towards the outside and renew its image.
To open up the market from the inside towards the outside, maximum use will be made of the natural light entering, which will take on a great deal of importance. One of the solutions for achieving this aim is to confer a great deal of transparency to the façades that give onto the street thanks to the glazing of all the retailers situated in this area.
Another aspect to highlight is the treatment given to the roof of the market stalls as this is a delicate element as it is in the front line of view from the restaurant and is usually very dirty. To prevent the roof from getting dirty, an easy cleaning system has been created and it has been aged.
