Olia

Olia is experimental packaging for natural cosmetics that can be used as soap. The packaging is made with discarded material – used cooking oil – to take advantage of the idea that waste = food and offer a double solution for both the environment and improved health.

Conventional cosmetic packaging is made of plastic, which this project substitutes with a wrapper that can, once the cosmetic is finished, be used as a hygiene product. Olia is best suited to natural, organic cosmetics, as its driving philosophy is to offer users an alternative to body care products containing toxins and harmful substances.
