Muse is the name chosen for a series of national dance awards, the aim of which is to be a vehicle through which dance acquires the same recognition as music, the cinema and the theatre, thanks to awards such as the Grammys, the Oscars, the Goyas and the Max. The name Muse refers to the three muses – the goddess daughters of Zeus – who, thanks to their beauty and dances, are tools of inspiration and creation. These three figures will be the starting point for the whole project, as they evoke the spirit of the project and our aims. Both on the trophy and in the logo, separating the m from the name creates three independent figures, which also form a single figure that refers to the three goddesses.
In terms of the trophy, this is even more significant when the trophy adopts the idea of a music box and suggests movement. The trophy comprises two parts which complement its symbolism: the key that winds up the box (which is given to all nominees) and the figure itself (given only to award winners).
