Light buoy

Portable exterior light that can be recharged through induction. It doesn't require any form of installation or wiring and has been designed for night-time activities or poorly lit locations.

One of the main aims of the project was that apart from being mobile, the light should be versatile and could be places on different surfaces such as the ground, the ceiling or a wall. The light is touch-sensitive and comes on when you touch the central metal part. It is fitted with two types of lighting, one aimed at the top part and the other aimed at the bottom, and it also has different positions depending on the use you want to make of it.

The two shades are made from polypropylene, the top one with blown extrusion and the bottom one by injection. The metal joint of the plastic parts has been made from aluminium and is manufactured by casting and anodising. The top shade is joined to the aluminium part by a screw, and the bottom by threaded screws. The charger is made from embossed anodised aluminium plate and a polypropylene cover.
