Miquel Àngel Oliver Costa - Mà i ment

Hand and mind

A year ago I wasn’t enjoying drawing and I didn’t know why. I had no appetite for it, but even so I carried on doing it not to get out of practice. Why did I no longer like the drawings I was doing? Had I lost my own vision of what was around me? Why was drawing so important to me? I only knew from the start that what I wanted to do was a final illustration project, it was the tool that most helped me communicate and the one that had brought me this far. This project explains the path taken to reach satisfaction with my own work.
Seeing it all from a dual point of view, I’ve steadily created a project in which I tell how I’ve got to know my drawings, but above all how I’ve got to know myself. From being able to see which drawings were mistakes and which were successes to knowing that my drawings could emerge from the interaction of the hand with the support or be created in the mind.
