Deixalles. Resignificant la matèria artesanal rebutjada.

This project aims to give value to objects classified as waste, discarded due to the “defects” that arise during the artisanal production processes (ceramics, wood and glass). Through curation and re-signification processes, it highlights how special it is to treat a material manually, and how these procedures create deep relationships between people and objects. These can be the protagonists if we change expectations towards their functionalities and let organic forms suggest new uses. What would happen if we reversed the traditional design process and let the form determine the function? This approach would revalue materials and objects that would otherwise be considered useless, encouraging creativity. By celebrating the imperfections and particularities of each object, an alternative vision of beauty is proposed, one that appreciates diversity and authenticity, enriching our daily experience with meaningful objects that can have unexpected uses.
