The project consists of a domestic steam iron for users who are interested in innovation and design. The aim of this project is to make it easier to use an iron in the domestic environment.
The Byron iron is designed to be manufactured by plastic injection, aiming to reduce the number of parts to create a slightly more sustainable product. The idea is also to simplify the visual language by reducing the number of buttons to improve the product-user relationship.
Two features of the project stand out for being more defining and innovative. First, the water deposit is removable, allowing it to be filled easily anywhere in the home where there is a tap and, therefore, the iron does require dismantling, nor are any complicated operations, as tends to be the case with domestic steam irons. Second, the electric cable can be rolled up in the iron and the socket inserted in the holes in the temperature regulator. As a result, the cable is completely fixed, making it easier to store the home appliance.
