Emili Padrós Ferrer

Born in Barcelona in 1969.

He studied Industrial Design at the Elisava School in Barcelona and later completed a Master's in Industrial Design at the Central Saint Martins School of Arts and Design in London.

He was secretary of the FAD Board from 2002 to 2005, where he promoted the “Barcelona Design Year 2003”.

Teaching

Since 1995, he has maintained teaching links with several design schools, such as Eina, Elisava, IED, and the Javierana University of Bogotá, and gives lectures and workshops at various universities and design centers.
He has participated as a Jury on numerous occasions.

Professional experience 

Together with Ana Mir, she founded Emiliana Design Studio in the late 90s, with the aim of adding value to products and experiences and contributing to building a better world through design. And she has been characterized by practicing her profession with a global and transversal perspective.

Far from specialising in a specific sector, his studio develops, in parallel and quite naturally, product design and creative direction projects for companies, together with the design of exhibitions and installations for museums and institutions, the design of limited editions of objects and conceptual and experimental projects.

Exhibitions
Emiliana Design has designed exhibitions for museums and cultural centres such as the CCCB, the Museum of History of Barcelona, Museu del Disseny, Dhub, La Pedrera, Museo de la Música, Toyota Museum of Contemporary Art (Japan), Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt, Salvador Dalí Museum in Florida, among other entities.

He participated in the exhibition Design and the Elastic Mind (2008) and Safe: Design Takes on Risk (2006) at the Museum of Modern Art – MoMA in New York.
