"Rivers with city" is a workshop open to all audiences in online and face-to-face format that takes place on February 2 from 4 pm to 8 pm in the framework of the University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD) of EINA-UAB.
In this activity, three projects carried out in three cities will be discussed, starting from their relationship, interaction, reflection, or imagination projected towards their rivers. The event brings together a series of experiences driven from the limits of artistic practice, design, urban planning, and urban activism, which relate elements of the complexity of urban ecosystems with their rivers, from a critical and proactive perspective.
" Rivers with city " features the participation of David Armengol, director of La Capella; Roser Colomar of Idensitat; Cheo Carvajal and Elisa Silva of Enlace Arquitectura, a production and research group of the Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela; and the artistic collective Sitesize from Barcelona.
The event is part of the workshop "Between waters and cities", led by Idensitat and Ramon Parramon, professor at MURAD, in collaboration with La Capella, which takes place from 31 January to 3 February, with the aim of carrying out a tour-exploration in spaces of the city related to the environments of the Besòs and Llobregat rivers, activating a series of registers of observation (textual, visual and sound...), detecting or taking into account vulnerable elements (problems, deficiencies, precariousness...), and make a proposal that responds to these detected elements.
