Rethinking the light in the garden

Rethinking the light in the garden is a reinterpretation of the light in the nocturnal landscape of the Can Sentmenat Gardens that will be carried out by the students of the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Design, of the subject Creation Laboratories 2 of Light, tutored by África Sabé, on Thursday 23 January from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.
 
The project has had the collaboration of iGuzzini, Erco, Faro Barcelona, Difusiona and Nexia, lighting companies that have provided material to experiment in this exercise.

In order to learn about light as a background for experiences, the students visited the iGuzzini facilities in Sant Cugat del Vallès in December. There they were able to tour the showroom, experiment with light and the different optics and thus be able to materialise the lighting proposal, with the guidance and explanations of Jesús Rodríguez de Pablo, manager; Nicolás Machado, project manager; Andrea Salvador José, sales support assistant; Daniela Lopez Montoya and Eva Picanyol Saez, both lighting designers.

Rethinking the light in the garden seeks to experiment with five different spaces surrounding Eina and to propose new lighting scenarios, reinventing an everyday scene. A process in which conversations, reflections and very interesting situations arise as we ‘play’ with light.
