“Metrópolis”, the jump created by Anna Milla, student on the EINA Bachelor’s Degree in Design and winner of the Fourth “A Jump for the City” Design Competition, has been officially presented in the foyer of the Zona Universitària Metro station on Wednesday 26 September.

Made in the Reial Club de Polo de Barcelona (RCPB) carpentry workshop, the jump will be part of the course in the 107th edition of the CSIO Barcelona Jumping Nations Cup.

“Metròpolis” reflects the different lines in the city’s Metro system. At the presentation, the designer thanked the RCPB for the opportunity to make a project such as this come true, and admitted that adapting to the technical rules of show jumping was one of the challenges she had to overcome.

For the fourth edition of the “A Jump for the City” Design Competition, which strengthens the bond between the centennial sporting competition and Barcelona, as well as the international promotion of the city, the Barcelona Equestrian Challenge (BECH) chose second-year students on the EINA Bachelor’s Degree in Design, in the subjects of Space Design, coordinated by Judit Colomer and Octavi Rofes, and Mock-ups and Prototypes, under the direction of Ariadna Fàbregas and Amadeu Ventayol.
