Paloma Valdivia, Chilean writer, illustrator and editor, joins the teaching team of the Postgraduate Diploma in Illustration for Children's and Teenagers' Publication, coordinated by Gabriela Rubio.
Her work has been internationally recognised, among her awards are the Grand Prix of the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration 2023 (Slovakia), the Green Island Nami Concours 2023 (Korea), the nomination for the Hans Christian Andersen Award 2024 (Denmark) and the New York Times Best Children's Book of 2022 for the Book of Questions (USA). This year she was the guest of honour at the Bologna Picture Book Fair where she illustrated the cover of the illustrators' yearbook 2024.
Paloma, who is a former student of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques at Eina, is passionate about books, stories, images, but above all childhood, as that place that we all inhabit, as that sacred territory that must be protected above all things.
