Within the subject Materials and Construction Techniques, students visited a construction site guided by professor Rosa Clotet, to illustrate subject’s content firsthand. The visit was to a new construction and a renovation area of the Day Hospital Service of Sant Joan de Deu in Barcelona. This activity was complementary to the activity carried out in previously at EINA, on dry construction of walls, ceilings and open sky drywall "plasterboard".
The construction work visit, in a fairly advanced stage, served students to firsthand observe the application of the materials used in construction, in different situations and at different stages of implementation. An operator of plasterboard was useful in sorting out constructive questions and doubts. Finally, students took advantage of the visit to also come close to other materials covered in the Construction Material course at EINA. Other construction elements on site included pavements, exterior and interior walls, façades, sky ceilings, coatings, installations and waste facilities, among others.
