Chris Ware al CCCB. Obra d’autor i gràfica complementària is the title of the masterclass given by Clara Xarrié, a former Eina student and founder of the Barcelona-based studio specializing in design for the cultural sector and brands with sensitivity. It will take place on Tuesday, May 13 at the Sentmenat facilities.
The lecture is open to the public and held within the framework of the subject of Graphic Design Applied to Space from the Bachelor of Design, led by Gemma Villegas.
In this masterclass, Clara Xarrié will share the communication design process for the exhibition Chris Ware. Dibuixar és pensar, currently on view at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).
Starting from the original poster created by the artist, the studio developed what they call “complementary graphics”: a system designed to coexist with various applications developed by Chris Ware himself, while also functioning independently across many other applications.
The talk will cover the project brief, proposals, system development, and production of some pieces. A chance to get a close look at a real project directly connected to the challenge posed to students in the subject Graphic Design Applied to Space.
With a clear and direct style, Clara Xarrié Studio combines solid concepts with a keen attention to detail and a constant search for authenticity.
