Lara García Díaz, research lecturer and coordinator of the design research section of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, will take part in the Fifth International Congress Women Creators: Drawing, Design and Action, to be held from October 1 to 3 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville.
A PhD in cultural sociology, she will present the paper Research Laboratory. Here we are! Women in Design. 1900 – Today, focused on the project she led on the application of feminist approaches to archival research methodologies. The aim is to reflect on the potential of archival research as a political and pedagogical tool, advocating for situated, inter-institutional and collaborative research.
Her presentation will take place on Thursday, October 2 at 9:40 a.m.

The Congress aims to give visibility, within the academic sphere, to scientific and artistic research focused on women artists and designers linked to drawing and related fields such as graphic thought, plastic formalization, graphic art production, or aesthetics.
