Eina alumni David Rueda Cardelús and Martí Serra Arxer, graduates of the Bachelor in Design, have been honoured at the 2026 gaudeamusPROJECTA Awards, organised by the Official College of Graphic Design of Catalonia. The awards recognise excellence in undergraduate Final Degree Projects in graphic design from across Spain. Having been selected among the 24 best projects of the competition's ninth edition, both graduates received one of this year's thematic awards.
The awards ceremony took place on 19 June at Palau Robert in Barcelona, bringing together students, design professionals, academics and representatives from the design sector to celebrate the year's most outstanding projects. On this occasion, David Rueda Cardelús received the gaudeamusPROJECTA Innova Award for his project URNA, while Martí Serra Arxer was presented with the gaudeamusPROJECTA Natura Award for nemusys.exe.

David Rueda Cardelús, gaudeamusPROJECTA Innova Award
URNA is an app designed to question the growing distance between citizens and today's democratic processes. The project proposes a digital platform based on direct, horizontal and transparent democracy, enabling users to access information, assess political proposals and take part in remote voting. It combines critical reflection, visual identity and technological innovation to encourage more active and collective citizen participation in decision-making.
Martí Serra Arxer, gaudeamusPROJECTA Natura Award
nemusys.exe transforms real environmental data collected in the Collserola and Montseny natural parks into a generative visualisation based on particle systems. Through the movement and visual behaviour of the system, the piece makes air quality perceptible in an intuitive way: when conditions are good, the flow is smooth and stable; as pollution levels increase, the system becomes tense and irregular. The project offers a new way of understanding environmental data while inviting reflection on the impact of human activity on seemingly protected natural environments.
The gaudeamusPROJECTA Awards have established themselves as one of Spain's leading platforms for recognising emerging talent in graphic design and visual communication. The awards received by David Rueda Cardelús and Martí Serra Arxer highlight the quality of the projects developed at Eina and reaffirm the school's commitment to an education that fosters creativity, research and design's capacity to address today's social and environmental challenges.
