Andrés Peñuela, professor in Eina Bachelor of Design and co-founder of MH.AP Studio, has been awarded the First Architecture Prize of the Girona Counties 2025, together with Sergi Serrat, for the project Sports Centre in Ripoll, recognised ex aequo.
The project, titled Waiting on the bench, stands out for its integration into the landscape and for its intelligent response to the need for new changing rooms and a multipurpose space in the town’s sports complex, all within a context of post-pandemic resource constraints.
A proposal that exemplifies the rigour and the social and territorial commitment of contemporary architecture.
