Aina Bestard, professor and former student of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques at EINA, has participated in the London Book Fair, an event that brought together the international publishing community from 5 to 7 April at Olympia London.
Catalan literature was the special guest at the London Book Fair 2022 thanks to the Spotlight programme, promoted by the Institut Ramon Llull and the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals, to showcase the opportunities that Catalonia can offer to the global publishing public, to establish connections between Catalan publishers, authors and illustrators and the global book scene, and to bring the depth and breadth of Catalan culture and literature to an international stage.
The illustrator Aina Bestard has attended the fair representing children's literature and explained her career to a large audience on a stage next to all the publishers of children's and young people's literature. Along with Aina Bestard, authors such as Raül Garrigasait, Marta Orriols, Josep Maria Esquirol, Borja Bagunyà, Eva Baltasar, Irene Solà and Sergi Pàmies have participated in the fair.
