This project presents the design of a video camera used to make films of mountain and rock climbing afficionadoes. The camera means that you can film the setting or another person practising the sport. It even has another use: filming while the user is climbing.
The aim was to make the camera a support that captures good images, yet at the same time does not distrub the mountain climber. Consequently, focusing on the camera’s subject puts them in the foreground. Similarly, the mechanisms that activate the camera, as well as the screen and display, come in the form of a ring-shaped bracelet that wraps around the lower end of the forearm, keeping it out of the way of any movements, keeping the user in control of it all times. This mortable filming device comes in two sections with its relevant supports: the objective, the silicone element and 70 x 45 mm ABS and instructions, made from the same material and of the same measurements. Both elements have their own support consisting of an elastic band and the housing for the silicone and ABS element.
