Sandra Sardinero - Urban Lamp

Urban Lamp

The project consists of designing an urban lamp for public lighting for pedestrian and residential areas and parks and gardens in urban areas. Following an in-depth study of what is currently on offer, the aim was to design functional lighting without overlooking the poetic feel that a spotlight can create.

The lighting consists of two different parts: the column and the reflective screen, both in aluminium. The screen acts as a reflector and includes a highly watertight (IP 65) LED spotlight (maximum power of 120W, which is equivalent to 220W of sodium steam). The reflecting part is made from bichromated aluminium painted white. The cylindrical column, with a diameter of more than 15mm and less than 20mm, comes in two heights (3.65m and 4.65m) to meet existing needs.

These are the main characteristics of an urban lighting system which respects the space that it occupies and which, given the type of lighting that it is, creates a more pleasant, comfortable and useful urban environment for the public.
