Taking money as an important concern for society, Tópicos económicos canarios (Economic concerns of the Canaries) is a low-cost book produced by a group of experts and aimed at a wide public and one which has been designed to become the voice piece for debates about the socio-economic problems of the Canaries. The main theme of the book is the relationship between money and society. Each expert discusses a topic from the islands that has socially and economically influenced islanders.
The graphic and formal resources are defined by the need for its distribution in two distinct formats – pdf and offset printing – and elements which identify the Canaries: topics and money. A printed book that can easily be digitised is planned.
The meeting point of the seven islands has been used to create the collective identity behind the book. The name, which harks back to an ancient issue for the Canaries, is Fortunatae. Lastly, regarding the promotion of the book and the group, a series of different pieces have been crated which involve or represent the action of the individual or of society.
