The tool store

“The tool store” is a global identity project with an experimental aspect as it proposes the reinterpretation of a classical trade such as ironmongery.

The principal aim is to dignify an environment that is rarely graphically aware, simplifying and arranging the product range so that it is accessible to people outside a technical and complex environment, at all times maintaining consistency with the content.

The differentiating point of the project is its practical vocation, as it gives greater value to the basic functional part of the products than to their technical description. It is more important to understand what something is for than it is to know its characteristics and its composition exactly. The use of language will play a fundamental part because the most irrational part of some products will be highlighted so that they acquire added value.

The project proposes applications that go from naming, creating the logo and the visual identity to the classification and design of products. It also aims to set out the bases for the retail and digital applications design. The visual system proposed seeks to be extendible and exportable to other ironmongery product ranges with a view to a hypothetical production of franchises of the brand concept.
