Time-lapse

Time-Lapse is a project where, through visual creation, I experience the search for my identity as a woman. Femininity is an intimate state that mutates and is influenced by the situations experienced. From a personal perspective, I have encountered a problem of social structuring: the patriarchy. It leads us to reject emotion and intuition, conditioning one’s own nature to a rational behaviour. My aim is to show a kaleidoscopic view of woman, taking away false stereotypes from her and placing her in a contemporary context, evoking the search for the self. After going through this process, I have defined eight statements that identify eight values. The intent of these sentences is to project my alternative vision to the patriarchal reality, as well as the complexity of the feminine world. The final result is not an outright solution, it is a proposal that I, unselfishly, would like to share with anyone who may come across the project and is willing to think about it.
