Time To Eat

TIME TO EAT is cutlery designed for patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This disease of the nervous system affects the brain and the spinal cord. The messages between the brain and the body are slower or even blocked, so this illness is the second cause of disability among young adults in Europe.

Patients usually become depressed due to the frustration they feel at not being able to take on everyday life, in which they find increasingly more obstacles.

This project aims to meet the basic needs of the patient and improve their autonomy when eating, taking their symptoms into account, such as pins and needles, muscular weakness, lack of coordination, visual disorders, muscular rigidity, fatigue, etc.

The project includes a stackable injected ABS plate, a transparent glass made of PBT with the possibility of attaching a PC carry-handle and a foamed ABS handle that can be used by both right-handed and left-handed people and in which two types of spoon and fork (angular and straight) and a knife can be inserted. The items are designed to accompany the evolution of the patient.
