S’n’witx Sandwich Toaster

S’n’witx is a compact and practical sandwich toaster designed for people who live fast-paced lives and who occasionally need to make a quick hot snack at home.

It helps save energy as it can cook four sandwiches at a time, but if the user only wants to make one or two, it will only heat the full half of the appliance. It does this through two temperature scale sensors, one on each side of the appliance, which detect the absence of sandwiches and automatically switch off the corresponding resistances in the empty half.

The appliance is made in such a way that the mechanism can be accessed if it needs repairing. In addition, only parts made from the same material are permanently joined together, so that at the end of its useful life the appliance can be dismantled for recycling. Most of the parts are made from injected Bakelite, joined together with phenolic resin.

It also includes an innovative cable storage system, which wraps around the legs and incorporates the plug on the appliance.
