The project consists of a top quality Braun toaster. Braun is renowned for applying functional and rationalist aesthetics to its products, which is why I kept these two aspects very much in mind when carrying out the project. The design of the toaster incorporates straight lines, noble materials, such as steel and aluminium, and small functional solutions as regards toasters currently on the market. Some of these solutions include the front removal of the tray that collects the crumbs, the cable storage on side of the toaster and integrated actions and a lid on the top of the toaster that allows you to heat up or defrost all kinds of food and which also hides the slot and transforms the toaster into an enclosed and elegant object. The unique feature of the product is that its aluminium finish makes it a chameleonic—like product, in other words, that it takes on the hues of its surroundings, absorbing them completely.
