Crowdedness and the standardization of tourism replicate the industrial model: manufacture a product in series and make it accessible to everyone. The main objective of this project is to assist visitors in avoiding clichés and discovering a new version of the city. By personalizing content to the maximum and encouraging the visitor’s creative gaze, the guide seeks to revive the emotion of surprise in travel.
This project seeks to aid users in all stages of travel (before, during and after), and in all aspects of it: organizing trips, orientating oneself, exploring places, acquiring knowledge, and in travel memory. The guide requires access to various personal online service accounts to extract information and use it to make proposals strictly adjusted to preferences. All information is kept confidential. As a reaction to the discredit of conventional tourism, Serendipiti uses user images and has a graphic design that is fresh and warm.
