The aim of my project arose from a reflection on an equal-opportunities society, where diversity is respected and where everyone has the right to choose without their physical ability being an obstacle to their development. The purpose of this project is to develop the possibilities and abilities of integration to foster coexistence and help improve spaces and services, while at the same time trying to make design available to all.
The aim is to project and construct spaces that could easily be used by anyone, whether they have reduced mobility and/or communication possibilities or not and therefore provide the greatest possible degree of autonomy and well-being. This helps people with disabilities integrate and prevents them from being isolated and marginalised, which are issues that they currently experience.
As a whole, I want to convey the idea of a sensitive and diaphanous space to enable all users to circulate freely. There is to be a differentiation between communal spaces and they will be arranged as a single unit. This I plan to achieve using the same material for the flooring and coverings, a warm material such as wood.
